Ok, I said I was done with Craig’s List, but I wasn’t.
This weekend I scored exactly the kind of small drum table I’ve been looking for to complete the lower level fireplace corner. It was $20!!! My plan is to make a 36″ square boutis for it. (Boutis are those wonderful thin antique French quilts that are all quilted by hand.) I’ve got some antique French fabric that’s lovely and I bought cotton quilt batting (an unopened bag for a queen quilt) for $1 last year at a thrift store. So, that may be another winter project. I’ll have to research the quilt designs first.
But here’s the corner as it now stands. On the windowsill you can see that I’m trying to propagate lavender this year…we’ll see!
More cushion making is in progress for the bench. You’ll soon see…
