Will I never tire of transforming these little thrift store frames? I doubt it. The large one was brown plastic and the metal floral one was painted bright red and green. I love matching these little frames up with just the right prints.
Here’s the process:
I painted each of them dark brown, and added a layer of gold paint to the large one and patina blue to the floral one.
Finally, an antiquing glaze on the metal one and dark wax on the plastic one.
The little engraving in the large frame is Marie Antoinette’s wedding.
I’m now working on a set of very small faux Sevres snuff boxes. But I have to go to the storage locker to get some supplies so it may be a few days before they debut.
