Two digital collages

I’ve been assembling these 5 x 7 collages for a while, but finally found time to finish them today. Free to use for personal use only. Enjoy!

  1. You are absolutely brilliant!! And how wonderfully generous of you to share with others. I would be in 7th Heaven if I could create anything even close these wonderful works. Bravo Bravo Virginia

  2. I agree, both collages are beautiful. I’m so new to all of this that I’m terribly ignorant. Can you share a little about how you made them and what you plan to do with them? Thank you.

    • Kathy,
Lots of people create digital collages–many of them end up being pinned on pinterest. Many creators use Photoshop, but I don’t. When I have a lot of time, I use Picmonkey (free platform much like Photoshop) but I also just use Microsoft Word sometimes…you can erase backgrounds, change to black and white or greyscale, crop, etc. all on the little image toolbar in Word. That’s what I used to create these two. So, mostly, I just find open source images, and layer them and arrange them until I like them. It’s a lot of fun. I use these in different ways–I could print out postcards of them, or print them on fabric and put them in frames, or even shrink them into tags.

      • That’s fascinating! I use Microsoft Word all the time as a word processing program but had no idea it could be used for graphics as well. I can’t wait until I have time to experiment with it. Thank you SO MUCH for the detailed info. I look forward to each and every post from you. I love everything you share and am learning so very much.
