I did this a while back but I thought you might be inspired by it to try a decoupage project of your own. My own inspiration was an antique French painted headboard I saw in a design magazine.


I bought the queen headboard from an unfinished furniture store, then painted it blue and yellow. I added a border of raised designs under gilding, and then decoupaged on the flower garlands–finishing it off with a satin clear waterproofing spray.

Decoupage is a fantastic craft, you can almost do anything with it. Check out my Decoupage pinterest board for more ideas. And here are a few of my other past decoupage projects: a doll bed, a smallish cabinet, and another oval smallish cabinet.
