But I had a 25% discount coupon that expired today—so I had no choice! Ha.
Found some cool things: a wonderful tall cloche and small cheese dome, a little green ceramic pot with lemons as handles from Portugal, a Scandinavian doll with the most beautiful painted face and cotton hair, a nice signed Coimbra candle holder from Portugal, a sturdy $2 market basket I’m going to age, a $1 hatbox (will I ever be able to say no to a hatbox?), some gorgeous big lilac stems (the expensive kind), a 50 cent fleur de lis finial, some sequin strands I’ll use on Marie shoes, two ceramic cameo plaques, and two crystal beaded heart ornaments.
And because Christmas decor was 75% off, I also picked up a twig reindeer, a vintage looking glittered basket, a big bag of silver beaded strands and ornaments (25 cents!,) and a little domed gazebo I’m going to make into one of those small architectural models Restoration Hardware sells. I’m well pleased! I almost forgot—I got this old handmade wooden wagon (about 1 1/2′ long) for $3!
Teaser: My next post will feature paper mache tea cups and saucers I’ve been working on for the past few days. Here’s a peek at one before the paper mache goes on…
