Adieu, autumn

My sinuses have been a bit under the weather this week, so I haven’t had the chance to work outside in the garden–cutting everything down before the snow flies. Usually, I’m more efficient. But I am loving the final muted color in our back yard from the spent asters and mums. This really is a beautiful ending to a rather hard season–a terribly soggy spring and a drought from July through now. In a month, this scene will be all snow and I’ll have to look back at these photos to remember how it was. Hope you’re enjoying the last days of fall wherever you are.

My next post is going to be on coffee filter roses–I’m just waiting for another batch to dry! These are amazing!!
