In my last post, I mentioned I found a couple of smaller shadowbox frames at a thrift store. They had little scenes of teddy bears and sailboats–which I promptly disassembled. Then I painted the frames flat black and created two more vintage paper theaters–the square one is the Venetian harbor and the other is a French train station. Both are only about 4-5″ wide.
Sorry I wasn’t able to get better photos! I think this about wraps up my paper theater phase. I only have one more tiny one to complete. (I have all five of my paper theaters displayed together on a shelf and I have to say–they’re pretty cute. They combine a lot of the elements I love–vintage paper dolls, dioramas, and vintage prints. Plus they remind me of opera!)
